I have used tripsim before with no issue last year so I am aware how to set it up. This time I set it up the exact same and it did not work I wasn’t able to use any data from it, $70 wasted.

We looked at your account and the eSIM is installaed correctly, but it looks like either it was not selected to be used for data or data roaming was inactive for your eSIM.

I would never go overseas without preparing with a Tripsim. The savings, the convenience, not having to part with $10 per day are all reasons why.
The improvements I would love to see are these - better notifications about data running low. Definately do not toggle on Dual Sim - as you might find yourself back on your expensive data without knowing. I'd love to see notifications by email and text. I do get them, its just not reliable every time. I'd also love a phone number that I could use to ring out from, as its not possible to use your own number on a TripSim, even though I assumed that would be possible. Whatsapp is great - but only for those who are on Whatsapp. All in all, I will continue to use Tripsim - just loaded up another 2 yesterday for travels in May.

Follow instructions to set up and you will be fine. Did take a little bit of re reading to get it right but once done, it was hassle free during my trip.
Sitting at the departure gate I noticed an add for tripsim. (Our daughter had recently used an eSIM for an overseas trip)
So I scanned the barcode and downloaded.
I must admit it took me a couple of attempts as I must not have filled the steps correctly.
But once in NZ with data roaming switched on, it gave great service for the trip. Didn’t need to top up but that could be done as required.
Would happily use trip sim for my next international trip.👍
Esim works well and it was easy to setup on my iphone. No complaints about the coverage or speed

We are extremely clear in our marketing assets, including the website, that our eSIMs are mobile internet data only, 7-days or 30-days, and that they have specific data caps.
You purchased a "3GB 30-day New Zealand" bundle, which means it includes 3GB of mobile internet data in total that you can use in a space of 30 days. We understand that you have purchased this under the impression that it was unlimited, but it's clearly advertised as 3GB 30-days.
This is also outlined in our terms and conditions which you have accepted before purchasing your eSIM.
We understand that you have used 100% of your New Zealand bundle and we are extremely happy that we were able to connect you during your holiday in New Zealand.

We had great coverage for our whole trip. Perfect for our quick getaway .

Worked well. Easy to setup. No issues and good coverage in Jeddah and alUla in Saudi. Including our in the desert. Highly recommend
Great value East to set up. Worked all the way around vietnam. No problems and didn't run out if data
I purchased the esim at sydney airport to travel to cook islands and the esim had no coverage the whole time. Waste of money for me and yes I check it did say that it works in the asia pacfic region. Total waste of my money will not try it again. So far in my travels Vodaphone has been the best as I do travel frequently

My friends advised me to switch to ESim on my arrival to Greece -
Easy to set up on my device and worked well in the UAE as well as UK and Ireland
Sim worked great over the included countries! Decent speeds and has been a solid connection. Would love to see a tripsim app in the future to make data tracking that bit easier. Otherwise the website tracker is great.

In regards to the mobile app, you are right, we don't have one. However, our website is actually a web app, that means that you can save it on your device home scren, after you have logged into your Tripsim account, to quickly tap, access and review your data usage.

Unable to make phone calls

Our eSIMs are mobile internet data-only, so traditional phone calls and SMS are not available. You can still make calls and send messages via WhatsApp and other similar apps.

My partner and I got 20gig Europe + data bundles for our trip to UK and Holland. We have used Tripsim before so we topped up our existing esims. This was extremely easy to do and we just switched over to these sims upon arrival in London. We’ve been using google maps to get around and have been able to update our socials and talk to family and friends whenever we want. We probably didn’t need 20gig but just wanted to be able to use data wherever we wanted without worrying.

E-sim was very helpful when you travel where most of your communication thru messenger.
I found this a very difficult process and have been unable to install on my phone. While I agree I'm getting on in years it proved a waste of money as I had to pay for it before getting it installed
