I am a dinosaur when it comes to anything technical and so on a recent trip to Japan, I rented a mobile wifi to gain internet and that worked great but that didn't seem to be a viable option on our recent trip to Greece, Turkey and Cyprus so we were going to just go with off line maps or cafe wifi, but when waiting at Sydney airport prior to departure, on our table was an ad for Tripsim.
I thought I'd give it a go as it was quite inexpensive but I was certain I wouldn't be able to activate it because, as I said, I'm a dinosaur. Well wasn't I pleased and surprised!
It was so easy to activate with step by step instructions, including diagrams, that is pretty much dinosaur proof.
As soon as we set foot from the plane in Athens I had full service and the coverage is terrific. We were on a cruise around Greece so we were off shore for a lot of the time, but kept signal all through.
As I'd only gotten the minimum package I needed to top up during the trip, but that was no problem either, the new Sim started when the first one ended, no reinstallation or re-registration needed, so simple and brilliant.
I would highly recommend Tripsim and it is the only thing I will be using for data from now on.

I bought TripSim as I forgot to advise, Optus my telco provider that I was going overseas. Whilst overseas the amount Optus wanted to charge for the amount of data was criminal. I found Tripsim via a friend's recommendation, and it was great. It was simple to set up and I had connection whilst abroad.

My only reservation is that you do need to have an internet connect in order to follow the instructions on how to install/use Tripsim. Once the design team that one one out it would an awesome product.

I would never go overseas without preparing with a Tripsim. The savings, the convenience, not having to part with $10 per day are all reasons why.
The improvements I would love to see are these - better notifications about data running low. Definately do not toggle on Dual Sim - as you might find yourself back on your expensive data without knowing. I'd love to see notifications by email and text. I do get them, its just not reliable every time. I'd also love a phone number that I could use to ring out from, as its not possible to use your own number on a TripSim, even though I assumed that would be possible. Whatsapp is great - but only for those who are on Whatsapp. All in all, I will continue to use Tripsim - just loaded up another 2 yesterday for travels in May.

Follow instructions to set up and you will be fine. Did take a little bit of re reading to get it right but once done, it was hassle free during my trip.
